Come and join us Role Overview The Business Development Manager will represent our Ontario-based Mortgage Investment Corporation (MIC) within the mortgage broker community, driving new business origination, strengthening broker relationships, and supporting underwriting to grow funded volume across the province. This role focuses on market expansion, relationship management, and identifying high-quality private lending opportunities in a competitive environment. Key Responsibilities Achieve pre‑determined targets. Represent the MIC to mortgage brokers province‑wide, promoting lending solutions and strengthening the company’s presence and reputation. Generate new business opportunities by expanding and managing a strong network of broker and agent relationships. Build and maintain long‑term broker partnerships to drive consistent deal flow, increase funded volume, and support retention. Manage the full lending cycle – from initial deal discussion and assessment through underwriting coordination, funding, and post‑funding follow‑up. Assess private lending opportunities, identify potential risks, and elevate complex files as required. Conduct market research to identify competitive trends, new opportunities, and strategic growth initiatives. Ensure all deals meet compliance, documentation, and service standards. Qualifications 4+ years of experience in business development, mortgage lending, or a related financial services role. Experience within a Mortgage Investment Corporation (MIC) is an asset. Strong business development abilities with a proven track record of expanding broker networks and driving funded volume. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Well‑established relationships within the mortgage broker community in Ontario. Strong understanding of private lending, deal assessment, and underwriting processes. Ability to work independently, travel within Ontario, and thrive in a competitive market. Compensation 100% commission‑based role – Your income grows as your business does. Why Join VentaCo?
