Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
  1. Developing 3D models and 2D drawings of ship equipment and compartment arrangements
  2. Developing technical studies, drawings and specifications for government and commercial vessels
  3. Report writing and equipment selection
  4. Performing structural design and analysis
  5. Incorporating Engineering Changes into existing designs
  6. Working on systems integration projects
  7. Conducting engineering analyses such as finite element analysis, weights or stability (GHS)

Skills, Capabilities, and Experience:
  1. Education Required: Associate’s Degree / Naval Architecture Diploma
  2. Years of Experience Required: 1-5+ years proven hands-on experience in 2D drafting, 3D modeling and engineering design/integration projects
  3. Proficient in Microstation and/or AutoCAD
  4. Proficient in MS Office Suite – including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  5. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  6. Knowledge of Rhino or other 3D modeling software would be considered an asset
  7. Marine industry experience a requirement
  8. Naval Warship engineering design experience is considered an asset
