General Role Description: The Installation & Service Manager is responsible for ensuring that all installation objectives are completed, providing technical leadership to staff, coordinating, and verifying all components on projects to complete installations on schedule and on budget. They must follow strict safety guidelines and use strong communication skills to resolve installation problems and find innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities Supervise and be accountable for the installation teams, including subcontractors, ensuring they follow best practices, health and safety guidelines, and meet quality standards. Provide technical guidance and support to the installation teams of all security systems while onsite. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during installations and act as the liaison between the installation team and the IT Analyst team. Ensure adherence to work order specifications and establish procedures and policies. Conduct pre‑project site surveys to assess the location, gather critical information, and ensure the project's feasibility, design accuracy, and compliance with all relevant regulations. Conduct thorough site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards. Work closely with HR regarding recruitment, develop a training roadmap, and mentor the installation team. Conduct monthly 1‑1 meetings, mid‑year and annual performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to the installation team members. Manage and track the installation team's KPIs, ensuring they are met. Ensure the installation team is effectively managed, with prompt and accurate return of all required paperwork. Source, screen, and recruit new potential installers and subcontractors. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages professional development. Proactively champion safety initiatives to maintain a compliant, accident‑free work environment, adhering to all Health and Safety Regulations and Legislation. Oversee and manage all assigned tasks for the installation team, including daily vehicle inspections and the completion of any delegated warehouse‑related duties. Evaluate the quality of work delivered by the installation team. Learn and master new techniques essential for upcoming jobs (e.g., terminate ends on fiber optic cables, deploy and configure laser‑red scanners, etc.). Plan, prioritize, and assign projects and tasks to the installation team. Provide installation/project insights to the Assigned Project Manager during all project phases to ensure clear communication between the installation team, client, and other stakeholders. Work with the Project Manager to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals are met. Follow New Age Group's Project Management process including design, project kickoffs, costing, assigning resources, and closeout/post‑mortem. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or diploma from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 5 years working experience in the commercial and industrial installation and service of security systems. Previous experience in Project Management and/or PMP Certification is considered an asset. Hands‑on experience in leading an installation team and/or managing subcontractors. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards. Capable of reading and understanding Visio and AutoCAD building diagrams, security and riser drawings. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Mandatory Requirements The successful candidate will be required to provide a clean criminal background & judicial report for the past five years from Canada (meaning you have not lived outside of Canada for the past five years) upon hiring. At this time, New Age Group will not be accepting applications from outside of the Province of Ontario. Job Types & Salary Full‑time, permanent. Salary: $80,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year. Experience Security industry: 5 years (preferred). Supervisory: 3 years (preferred).
