Job Opportunity: Heavy Duty Mechanics - NunavutMATRIX is looking for experienced Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics / Mobile Crane Mechanics for our site in Nunavut. The ideal candidates should be team-oriented, adaptable, highly motivated, and have acute attention to detail. This position involves maintaining and servicing equipment in remote camps under the supervision of the Team Lead or Camp Manager. CAT equipment experience, proficiency in CAT ET and SIS Systems are required. The role is fly-in/fly-out.
Responsibilities:- Keep equipment available for use through preventive maintenance, installations, and winterization procedures.
- Correct equipment deficiencies by repairing, adjusting, overhauling, and replacing major components.
- Verify vehicle performance, conduct test drives, and maintain vehicle appearance.
- Maintain vehicle records, keep shop equipment operational, and inventory stock.
- Facilitate or participate in daily toolbox meetings and ensure a safe work environment.
- Mobile Crane experience - 2 years preferred
- Familiarity with Loaders, Dozers, Excavators, Graders, SnowCats, light, and heavy-duty trucks
- Journey-Certified Heavy-Duty Mechanic/Interprovincial Red Seal Certification
- Mobile Crane certification or experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of mining equipment care and maintenance experience
- Previous experience in a remote camp setting
- Competitive Wages & Paid travel days
- Fly-in/fly-out 3/3 rotations (Various Canadian Remote FIFO Locations)
- Paid flights, hotels, baggage, and meal per diems

- Salary Range: $700/day - $800/day depending on skills, experience, and certifications
