Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our client's team in Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment, including but not limited to trucks, trailers, loaders, excavators, and bulldozers.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections on heavy equipment to identify and diagnose mechanical issues.
Perform repairs and replacements of faulty parts or components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
Complete service and repair records accurately and maintain organized documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures at all times.
Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and complete repair tasks efficiently.
Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory of spare parts and equipment.
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates smoothly and efficiently.Qualifications:
Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
Red Seal certification or equivalent as a Heavy Equipment Technician (Heavy Duty Mechanic).
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in the heavy equipment industry.
Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy equipment.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, and hydraulic systems.
Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment, including computerized diagnostic software.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment parts and perform tasks in various weather conditions.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
