Base pay range CA$53,201.00/yr - CA$65,011.00/yr As an Inside Sales Consultant – Local Contracts, this position is responsible for the accurate preparation, submission, and service of all Government tenders and contract/bid customers. A focus on building customer relationships, promoting Sysco’s products and services, and exceeding customer expectations through account management and service. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Building and managing a territory of Government tenders and contract/bid customers Drive penetration and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth and special objectives within assigned accounts Engage experts to improve closed/won sales performance Use problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and provide feasible solutions Maintain compliance based on contractual agreements Ensure implementation of and compliance with all applicable regulations/laws and company policies, including but not limited to Food Safety Policy, SOPs & regulations, Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Antitrust policies and regulations, etc. Keep an up-to-date bid log control sheet of all tenders quoted for audit purposes Actively utilize Sysco proprietary CRM tool for planning and forecasting sales growth and maintaining updated customer files Review and analyze daily and weekly reports such as special-order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin data Complete all federal government tenders and bids for the region Attend Sysco/Customer events Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising Sysco’s Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role Assist Food Safety Program Manager in ensuring compliance to Sysco’s Food Safety Program that leads to compliance with third party certification and customer requirements Be willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understand the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor Understand that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and be willing to speak out when hazards are present Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage Location Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada #J-18808-Ljbffr
