What is the opportunity?

The Senior Manager, Newcomer Acquisition, leads the development and implementation of key strategies focused on achieving profitability/key targets for the Newcomer and Cultural Markets Segment. This involves managing across functional teams to implement identified solutions that drive profitable acquisition and growth across key channels.

What will you do?

  • Lead and implement data-driven client acquisition & growth strategies. This requires a blend of strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and hands-on execution.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences. Lead business case development, research & reporting to identify new opportunities for client acquisition.
  • Collaborate with cross functional internal and external teams to develop and launch impactful initiatives. Engage with senior leadership and key stakeholders to align on strategic priorities and share insights.
  • Work with regional community managers and the advisor network to ensure alignment between national office programs, regional strategies, and activities. Own and lead the National Newcomer Advisory Council strategy.
  • Ensure that the sales network is equipped with appropriate information and materials to effectively acquire and anchor targeted client groups.
  • Manage Business scope/requirement changes, multiple and competing demands, and priorities for all Marketing, Digital, PR and Sales Enablement initiatives.
  • Develop integrated baseline project plans adapting estimating models as required, document estimating assumptions, refine plans and manage performance against them.
  • Manage any Sponsorship relationships and opportunities.
  • Based on the RBC leadership model, promote innovative and improved methods to get the work done and implement best practices.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Strategic mindset and vision for the future of the Newcomer client segment
  • Ability to conceptualize changes in market conditions and leverage innovative thinking to capitalize on strategic opportunities.
  • Proven expertise with marketing, forecasting and interpreting portfolio trending analysis and financial statements to direct strategic business decisions.
  • Strong customer insight and ability to influence key decisions that will impact the customer.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives with collaboration.
  • Proven expertise in marketing and/or sales strategy
  • Proven communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively work in a matrix environment
