Job Description The CIMA+ offices in Western Canada are experiencing a large growth trajectory, creating new exciting complex projects for you to shape and shape your career. This role is an Intermediate Industrial Mechanical Engineer who will join our Mechanical and Piping Team and work with the Energy and Resources team on multidisciplinary projects primarily in the Oil and Gas and Mining sectors. You will develop design deliverables for materials handling, pressure, process and piping projects across Western Canada. Primary Responsibilities Participate and produce deliverables aligned with project needs. Develop and produce design deliverables for a variety of industrial projects. Work in multidisciplinary project teams, produce and sign off deliverables. Collaborate with department leads to pursue new business opportunities with existing or new clients. Assist stakeholders in proposal writing and fee estimates. Support business/operations through sound management of value, risk, content, communication, knowledge, & resources. Provide expertise in brownfield and sustaining projects. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and all regulations & policies. Develop and implement budgets. Participate in site surveys. Qualifications Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering. 2+ years of engineering design work in the Mining and/or Oil and Gas sectors. P.Eng designation or eligibility to become a P.Eng within Canada is an asset. Proven organizational, analytical & problem‑solving skills. Ability to multi‑task, meet deadlines, self‑motivate, and adapt to change. Excellent communication skills; able to communicate effectively with all levels. Experience with metal/mineral processing plants, piping, cooling systems, compression, mining operations, conveyance systems, and/or pressure vessels is an asset. The expected salary for this position is from $90,000.00 to $120,000.00, based on the candidate’s experience, training, skills, and internal equity.
