Intermediate REVIT Mechanical Designer – Kelowna, BC
We are proud to partner with a highly respected engineering firm specializing in mechanical design, energy modeling, and sustainable solutions for buildings throughout North America to find their Intermediate REVIT Mechanical Designer in Kelowna, British Columbia.
Position Details
- Placing and sizing of distribution systems and equipment following industry standards and
- Perform load calculations using the company-provided software.
- Selection of mechanical equipment working directly with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Preparation of schematic design, design development and construction documents in either AutoCAD or REVIT, and adhere to our Client’s Standards and Guidelines.
- Assist with Contract Administration, including shop drawing review, RFI responses and on-site review.
- May attend design and construction meetings with the client, other consultants and the contractors.
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering and accreditation as a Professional Engineer: P. Eng. or PE in the jurisdiction in which they are working is an asset.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience.
- Canadian experience in mechanical HVAC and Plumbing design is a must
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including plumbing, HVAC, heating, cooling, and air handlers. Ability to interpret construction drawings.
- Strong knowledge of current codes and standards, such as the local plumbing and local building codes.
- Experience using building heating and cooling load calculations.
- Understanding of software programs (Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, REVIT).
