JOB TITLE: Nu2U Manager
JOB REPORTS TO: Executive Director
FUNCTION/PURPOSE: Plans and coordinates all aspects of the day-to-day operations of Nu2U Thrift Store.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Facility and Product Management 20%
- Create and maintain a physically safe and visually appealing retail outlet both inside and on the external of the Nu2U store premises.
- Plan and oversee the sorting, cleaning, display, and pricing of all merchandise.
Volunteer Coordination 35%
- Identify volunteer needs and develop strategies to recruit and train sufficient volunteers to support the Nu2U store operations.
- Identify and work in collaboration with the Executive Director, Business Operations Coordinator, and Services Coordinator to deliver additional learning opportunities for volunteers.
Customer Service 10%
- Create an enjoyable, friendly, and positive experience for guests, customers, donors, and volunteers at the Nu2U Store.
- Arrange for customer service training for volunteers as required.
Administration and Accountability 20%
- Provide input for product price points that ensure timely product sales with a view to achieving established budget targets.
- Complete regular bank deposits of store earnings.
- Follow all processes and policies established.
- Provide input for process and policy changes.
- Open and close store. li>
- Meet regularly with the Executive Director to provide updates on store operations.
Risk Management & Safety 5%
- Ensuring that operations are performed with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all personnel, and for promoting proper attitudes towards safety and health in themselves and in those they supervise.
- Responsible and accountable for knowing and working in accordance with the Safety Policy and within the Manual.
Competencies:
- Working knowledge of computers and Google Drive.
- Strong time management skills.
- Excellent telephone and written communication skills.
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Volunteers at the store.
- Facility and Product Management.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Retail store, moving some heavy objects.
