Our client, a leader in the automation field, is looking for Robot Programmers to join their team on a contract basis in Brampton.

Description:

As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning control systems for various automation projects. You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure the successful implementation of control systems that meet our clients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop control systems using Rockwell software.
  2. Commission and program Fanuc and Nachi robots (AW, AX, and FD Controllers).
  3. Implement and optimize material handling, spot welding, sealer, drawn arc stud, and racking applications.
  4. Set up and configure Ethernet and DeviceNet networks for all specified robots.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems and robotics.
  7. Provide technical support and training to clients and team members.
  8. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
  1. Proficiency in Rockwell software.
  2. Experience in commissioning and programming Fanuc and Nachi robots (AW, AX, and FD Controllers).
  3. Strong knowledge of material handling, spot welding, sealer, drawn arc stud, and racking applications.
  4. Expertise in Ethernet and DeviceNet setups for robotics.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  6. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  7. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  8. Relevant certifications and professional experience are a plus.
