PAYROLL TECHNICIAN

Our well-established client is looking for a Payroll Technician. This is a full-time permanent position.

Salary : 70k to 75k per year, according to experience

Hours : Monday to Friday, 35h per week, hybrid position

Localization : Baie-d’Urfé (Parking on-site)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare, verify, and process all employee payroll related payments, including regular pay, benefits payments, and special payments such as bonuses and vacation pay.

Liaise with the HR department and Finance department to ensure accurate information for payment.

Manage electronic timekeeping systems or manually collect and review timesheets.

Utilize computer software for data entry and accounts management.

File relevant reports and documents as needed.

Verify employee records and consult departments in the event of a discrepancy.

Review and abide by company policies, procedures, and collective agreement stipulations.

Prepare payroll related filings and supporting documentation, such as year-end tax statements, pension, Records of employment and other statements.

Compile, review, and monitor statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts.

Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements.

May be responsible for the development or implementation of payroll policies, procedures, and processes.

Qualifications:

Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred.

Proven work experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role, five years minimum.

Fluent in English and French  (Intermediate French).

Perfect knowledge of Payroll software programs (UKG Kronos), and Microsoft Office.

Accurate and meticulous in data entry.

Exceptional calculation and memory skills

Good organizational and time-management skills.

Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
