McCain Foods (Canada)is currently seeking a Training Supervisor to join our team


JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, this positi on is responsible for the oversite of all aspects of factory-related employee training including: qualifi cati on processes, trainer development, budgeti ng, planning, coordinati on, and record keeping. The Training Supervisor serves as a coach and mentor to the Training Department.
This position will work collaboratively with site leadership to determine training needs that drive manufacturing excellence in alignment with the overall site strategy. The supervisor will uti lize, develop, and implement training programs, which will include technical training, safety/food safety training, train-the-trainer programs, and process management.
As the successful candidate, you will coordinate and implement policies and programs as they relate to environmental compliance for McCain Foods. As well, you will lead and support the daily operation of the waste treatment process. Key areas of focus will include workplace health and safety, team leadership, Environmental Management System ownership,efficient operation of equipment, maintenance planning, and employee relations. Under the direction of the Environmental Supervisor, you will support the plant strategy through McCain Driving Impact (MDI) and the SQCDPE framework (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People and Environment) as we work towards conti nuous improvement throughout the facility.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


Performs skills assessments, analyzes learning needs, and develops training materials/ programs designed to meet those needs. Develop and implement training standards and measures (key performance indicators) that support the vision of self-suffi cient teams in support of site strategy
Ensures training materials are current and updated. Tracks the success of training materials and programs, and makes improvements.
Documents employee attendance or performance at mandatory training sessions. Delivers training programs to target audience within the local manufacturing plant.
Foster the development of internal subject matt er experts through Train-the-Trainer program to leverage internal training resources and promote knowledge transfer within the organization.
Provide primary support for new technologies as they become available, coordinating and preparing training schedules to accommodate facility needs.
Control training expenses and manage expenditures to meet the training needs.
Provide guidance and indirect supervision to site or department training leaders.
Supervise & direct Training Facilitator activities.

Coach and develop Training Facilitators and others responsible for the delivery of training within the one on one.
Development, training and ensuring associate completi on of required trainings (e-learnings and other core and additi onal trainings)
Ensure the implementati on and effectiveness of an onboarding and early development program.
Prepare schedules, manage vacati on planning, and other scheduling activities.
