Financial Analyst (4 months)Employment TypeContractLocationTORONTO, OntarioApply SHARE THIS JOB           Job Description:As the Financial Analyst, the candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the organization. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports and providing valuable insights to aid in the decision-making process.  Key Responsibilities Include:Support the month-end process including account reconciliations, posting adjusted journal entriesPrepare financial reports including monthly financial statements, budget variance analysis and forecasting modelsSupport basic GAAP understanding and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in financial reportingAssist with audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsMonitor and track financial performance against budget and forecast and identifying areas of concern or opportunityAssist with annual preparation of budget and long-term financial plansAnalyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance      TMGCTJob Requirements:CPA designation is a plus2+ years experience in a financial analysis role or related fieldProficiency in financial modelling and analysis techniquesBasic understanding of GAAPAdvanced Excel user (including Macros, Pivot Tables, VLookups and HLookupsExperience with QuickBooks or experience with QuickBooks Premier Nonprofit Edition preferredExperience with Salesforce is a strong assetAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesStrong analytical skills a demonstrated ability to solve complex problemsStrong communication and presentation skills with the ability to disseminate financial information to a non-financial audienceAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment  Apply
