Financial Analyst Co-op
Location: Toronto One York Office – 1 York St, Toronto (Hybrid)

In this role, you will work in the Finance Transformation & Reporting team, playing an integral role within the financial reporting process for internal and external reporting documents that will ultimately go to Senior Management, Board of Directors, and/or the public. Being part of the Finance Transformation & Reporting team means you will be continually challenged to learn, grow, and develop your skills.
Support and facilitate the quarterly and annual reporting process for Sun Life Financial and Sun Life Assurance, including preparation of the data for the Financial Statements and Notes, Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A), and the Supplementary.
Support the data-driven aspect within financial reporting process across Corporate Finance teams to meet key reporting deliverables and ensure accuracy of the financial information.
Liaise with various stakeholders across Corporate Finance and Business Groups to understand changing business requirements and deliver on their needs.
Other ad-hoc requests/projects as required.
Currently enrolled in an accredited accounting, commerce, or business undergraduate program at a post-secondary institution, with the intention to obtain a CPA designation.
Available for 8-month co-op term (September 2024 - April 2025)
Demonstrated academic excellence and leadership ability.
Proficiency working with Microsoft Office, Workiva and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
Flexibility and commitment to work overtime as required.
