Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for supervising the planning, execution, and completion of engineering prototype builds.
  2. Develop assembly methods and techniques for use by the production team.
  3. Manage and mentor a team of technicians.
  4. Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that prototypes meet design specifications and performance requirements.
  5. Conduct thorough inspections and testing to identify and resolve any issues or defects.
  6. Oversee the documentation of prototype development processes.
  7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  8. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or Technologist or equivalent.
  2. 3-6 years of experience in Prototype Builds or similar in a manufacturing setting.
  3. Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership position.
  4. Skilled in using power tools, hand tools, soldering and welding equipment etc.
  5. Strong technical background in mechanical and electrical engineering.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  7. Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
