As the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Data Solutions, you will lead the strategy, development, and execution of data-driven solutions that support our client's enterprise-wide goals. You will oversee the integration and management of data systems, ensuring high data quality, accessibility, and security. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in data architecture, analytics, and governance, as well as a strong leader who can guide cross-functional teams to leverage data for business insights and operational efficiencies.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Strategic Leadership:**
- Develop and implement the overall data strategy in alignment with the company's business objectives.
- Drive data-driven decision-making across the organization by promoting a culture of data literacy and continuous improvement.

2. **Data Architecture and Management:**
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of robust data architectures that support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs.
- Ensure the integration and optimization of data from various sources, including structured and unstructured data.

3. **Data Governance and Quality:**
- Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor data quality standards, conducting regular audits and implementing corrective actions as needed.

4. **Analytics and Insights:**
- Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics and machine learning models to generate actionable insights and predictive capabilities.
- Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business outcomes.

5. **Team Leadership and Development:**
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of data professionals, including data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and architects.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment that encourages professional growth and knowledge sharing.

6. **Stakeholder Engagement:**
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Data Solutions department and other business units, ensuring alignment of data initiatives with business needs.
- Communicate data strategy, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.

7. **Technology and Innovation:**
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data management, analytics, and AI, integrating relevant advancements into the company's data strategy.
- Drive the selection and implementation of cutting-edge tools and technologies to enhance data capabilities.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in data management, data architecture, and analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing data strategies that drive business value in an enterprise setting, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Expertise in data integration, ETL processes, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
- Proficiency in analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
