What you’ll be doing

As the Director, Network and Cyber Security Services, you will join CIBC’s Cyber Security and Third Party risk department to deliver the enterprise network and zero trust security program. You will define, build and evolve CIBC’s Zero Trust strategy, initiatives, projects, goals, frameworks and controls. You will manage a team of individuals delivering network security, secure access service edge and micro segmentation.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role you’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-2 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

Data Loss Prevention for the Enterprise –Provide strategic thought leadership, building, maintaining and delivering on our bank’s network & zero trust security framework, vision and roadmaps. This includes leveraging CIBC proprietary and industry best-practices and standards. Execute and deliver on initiatives with agility and quality

Teamwork and Relationship building– Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including Internal Audit, Risk Management, Control Testers, Legal and external regulatory departments. The role requires frequent managerial interaction with architecture, engineering, security operations, risk management, auditors, external consultants and executives.

Strategy - Gain and nurture executive support for Zero Trust security initiatives through the creation of business cases, appraising senior and executive management and participating in strategy and roadmap development.

Leadership - Provide overall leadership for Network Security and provide reporting with insights to the executive team.

Service Delivery and Communication– Manage the health of network services, product backlogs, service rollout and continuous improvement. Effectively identify and assess network service risks, manage and communicate issues and steer complex situations towards resolution. Share regular reports and key insights with the executive team.

Who you are

You can demonstrate knowledge and experience in broad range of information security domains, and/or specialization in Network Security and Zero Trust security program. You possess the ability to think strategically with a track record of stewardship in the management of technology cyber risk and governance practices. Past experience working for a large financial institution is preferred as-well-as any prior exposure to DLP cloud control implementations is required.
