Regional Sales Director

A Vancouver company requires a Regional Sales Director based in its Vancouver head office. This individual will be responsible with working with the CEO and financial consultants to plan, organize, direct and control the sales of its financial products through EMD (exempt market dealer) channels.

1) Plan, direct and evaluate the sales activities of the Issuer’s financial products to financial advisors (specifically, the EMD’s).

2) Train financial advisors (specifically, the EMD’s) in the Issuer’s innovative financial products and the Issuer’s mandatory closing procedures. Currently, this will require extensive travel to the western provinces and Ontario. Travel expenses will be paid by the employer.

3) Establish and evaluate the effectiveness of sales policies and procedures.

4) Recruit, organize, train and manage current and future staff members.

5) Lead the sales team in business development in professional sectors and finalize sales contracts.

6) Work with senior members in the marketing department (based in Vancouver) to coordinate traditional advertising, social media campaigns, write blogs/ articles, create training webinars.

7) When applicable, create strategic plans with senior management to incorporate new financial products.

8) Timely and accurate preparation of Key Business Indicators (KBI’s) and opportunity pipeline; prepare accurate monthly sales forecasts.

Educational requirements

2) A university degree in business administration or in a related field with a specialization in finance and/or sales is required; and

3) A Master of Business Administration is desirable.

Work experience requirements

1) Between 2 to 3 years.

2) Experience in working in sales and/or marketing with an issuer in the Canadian private equity market.

3) Considerable experience selling financial products or in a related field.

4) A track record of successfully coaching, mentoring and leading teams.

5) Experience developing integrated sales and marketing strategies on a national level.

6) Experience in writing educational financial and retirement articles of a standard to be published in national industry leading publications.

7) Experience in utilizing and managing an online CRM tracking application.

8) Knowledge of social media marketing and prior experience in running a social media marketing campaign across a number of platforms.

2) Working knowledge of word processing software, electronic mail, presentation software, spreadsheets, electronic schedulers, MS Windows.

3) Must be able to understand website creation and management software.
