Our client has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential projects and is committed to creating vibrant communities for residents to call home.

Role Overview: The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of multi-family wood frame apartment projects with concrete parkade structures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing 4 to 6 floor wood frame apartment projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Lead and manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of the construction team, subcontractors, and suppliers. Provide leadership and direction to ensure project goals are met.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Quality Control: Implement and oversee quality control procedures to ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
  • Safety Management: Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Promote a culture of safety on the job site.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial objectives are met. Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process. Implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, specifically managing multi-family wood frame apartment projects with concrete parkade structures.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Certifications:
    • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CPE (Certified Professional Estimator) are highly desirable.
    • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Work Environment:

  • The role requires a mix of office-based work and on-site project management, depending on project needs.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in various weather conditions and managing multiple site activities.
