DESCRIPTION:

The Payroll \ HR Coordinator administers and deploys ProPacific Fresh policies impacting multiple aspects of payroll and human resources activity. This position proactively seeks and assists in developing a Human Resources Organization that exceeds industry standards. The Payroll \ HR Coordinator administers various Payroll and HR functions critical to the successful day-to-day business operations of the organization which include; payroll processing, incentive and pay increase tracking, time card edits, benefit enrollments, 401K enrollments, employee verifications, employee sourcing and on-boarding, employee relations, employee census maintenance through HRIS and other software systems, employee transitional communication, leave administration and supports training and safety initiatives.

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm

WAGE: $27 HOURLY

TITLE: Payroll \ HR Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Human Resource

REPORTS TO: Human Resource Manager

DUTIES:

· Maintains and organizes daily Payroll processes ensuring accurately submitting payroll bi-weekly; to include time edits, pay increases, quarterly incentives, pay scale tracking, vacation requests, sick leave requests, final pay request, exit interviews, employee files, benefit rollouts, 401K contributions and reporting, as well as all other payroll processing needs.

· Maintains working knowledge of legal requirements governing human resource functions including; applicant sourcing and recruitment, employee onboarding, employee file(s) administration, Employee benefit eligibility, leave of absences support, employee relations, HRIS systems administration and other HR supporting functions.

· Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster and promote engaged and positive attitudes towards company goals and objectives.

· Keeps records of personnel transactions such as new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, corrective actions, terminations, employee statistics, employee development tracking, compliance reporting, etc.

· Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and Human Resources Organizational programs.

· The HR Coordinator is ProPacific Fresh’s organizational point person for the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) which encompasses query and report running for all departments and up-to-date maintenance of all employee reporting systems.

· Assists in administering compensation programs to ensure compliance within the organization.

· Prepares employee separation notices and information, conducts a thorough exit interview to capitalize on all available information and reasoning behind a separation.

· Supports the administration of all leaves (FMLA/CFRA, PDL, Military, Personal, etc.) for the organization.

· Assist with employee counseling, remedial training and employee grievances.

· Maintains strict confidentiality of organizational and personnel information.

· Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization.

· Will contribute to the overall success and continued evolution of ProPacific Fresh by creatively adding value to the organization whether indicated within these job duties or not. Will partake in tasks assigned that are outside the scope of this job description, but within the capabilities of the employee.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.

· 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in Human Resources.

· Knowledge of HR operations and administration required; knowledge of HR-related state and federal regulations also required.

· Generalist experience in a company with 100+ employees strongly preferred.
