Our client in Downtown Toronto is looking for an Application Developer to join their team for a 3-month contract

Work Type

  • Hybrid (2-3 days per week required in the office)
  • Office Location: Downtown Toronto
  • Contract Length: 3 months - must be incorporated

Role

As an Application Developer, you will contribute to project deliverables by analyzing, designing, and developing financial web applications. Your expertise will span both front-end and back-end technologies, ensuring seamless integration and optimal user experiences. You will come with experience in full stack development with a focus on front-end development using Javascript technology (Angular, Vue.js) and backend development using .NET frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in end-to-end development of web applications, from conceptualization to deployment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and Javascript frameworks (i.e., Angular, Vue.js)
  • Ensure a seamless and engaging user experience across various devices and browsers
  • Design and develop the back-end using technologies within the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API
  • Write unit tests and automated tests to ensure high quality code
  • Integrate front-end and back-end aspects of applications using Web APIs
  • Ability to write technical documentation clearly and concisely

Skills And Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • 3-5 years of experience in software development in a full stack capacity (exposure to both front-end and back-end development)
  • Experienced with .NET framework, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET on the backend
  • Experienced with Angular, Vue.JS, HTML/CSS and Javascript on the frontend
  • Experience with database design and development using MS SQL Server
  • Exposure to MS Azure DevOps or equivalent (Jira, etc.)
  • Experience with version control systems, such as GIT

Nice-To-Have

  • Experience with ASPOSE.Words
  • Experience with Blazor
  • Design pattern knowledge/experience

Rate

  • $40.00 - $50.00/hour
