M365/Azure Cloud Specialist
Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365 Administration and Troubleshooting:
Managing and maintaining Azure platform and Microsoft 365 services including Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint online and OneDrive for Business.
Monitor availability and performance of our Azure production and development environments
Collaborate in the deployment of cloud solutions with cross-functional teams within the organization
Maintain an active knowledge of the latest Azure and M365 technologies and updates relevant to our usage and requirements.
Practical experience in deploying to Azure Web App Services and other container-based technologies (Container Instances, AKS, Docker Desktop, App Services) is desirable.
Demonstrate a good understanding of Azure networking, routing, and security concepts.
Participate in architectural discussions and showcase Azure competency.
Comfortably deploy cloud infrastructure from code, templates, or scripts.
Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python and Bash
Engage in discussions with internal stakeholders and external vendors to discuss existing and new cloud projects.
Possess a broad and fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Azure with demonstrable experience in deploying and administering both IaaS and PaaS services.
Develop an in-depth understanding of our cloud infrastructure technical stack along with comprehensive technical documentation of solutions, processes and procedures.
Virtual Infrastructure Administration:
Administer complex virtual infrastructure comprising VMware ESXi server, Citrix Netscaler, and Citrix XenApp Server technologies.
Offer in-depth technical expertise for the operation and maintenance of existing server, storage, and security solutions to ensure the integrity and availability of corporate data.
Experience or knowledge in managing and administering S3 Object storage for backups and enterprise digital content.
Infrastructure Maintenance and Administration:
Perform daily maintenance and administration of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange server, Blackberry UEM, Storage Area Networks, VPN, and proxy server appliances.
Monitor and maintain backup solutions, including disk and SAN-based technologies.
Work with VMware ESXi server and vCenter, performing physical and virtual server builds and images.
Monitor and analyze the performance of Windows and ESXi-based operating systems and creatively troubleshoot complex infrastructure performance issues as they arise.
Receive, prioritize, document, and actively resolve complex and varied infrastructure support requests through the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, providing hands-on desktop-level support.
Monitor logs and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity and implement resolutions.
Manage virus, intrusion, and infrastructure-related policy violations.
Update existing documentation as necessary and create new documents as required.
Perform other related duties as required.
In addition to the Microsoft 365 expertise, we are looking for candidates with a skill set who can also manage and maintain the current IT infrastructure effectively and also contribute to its enhancement through automation.
The candidates should be proficient in the following areas and capable of providing support with the following tasks:
Administering VMware vCenter
Active Directory maintenance and administration
Experience with SAN Storage and maintenance
Automation and Scripting, develop and implement automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks
Graduation from a recognized Institute of Technology or University program in an appropriate specialty specifically related to Infrastructure administration and analysis and a minimum of four (4) year’s progressively responsible experience in Infrastructure administration and maintenance. Or
Post Secondary Diploma in a related discipline and a minimum of five (5) year’s progressively responsible experience in Infrastructure administration and maintenance. Or
One (1) year related certificate* and seven (7) year’s progressively responsible experience in Infrastructure administration and maintenance.
Must have extensive experience with Azure AD and M365.
Experience with supported Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online and Blackberry UEM, VMware ESXi server 6.x/7.x, XenApp 7.x, enterprise backup solutions, Storage Area Networks, and enterprise grade server hardware.
Possess a broad and fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Azure with demonstrable experience in deploying and administering both IaaS and PaaS services.
Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell, and Bash.
Experience with MFA, SSO and identity management standards like SAML, OIDC and OAuth.
Familiarity with profile management solutions such as FSLogix.
Working knowledge of SolarWinds for monitoring, reporting and alerting.
Able to rapidly acquire in-depth knowledge of unfamiliar systems through research and self learning.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, customer service, teamwork, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Highly self-motivated with the proven ability to work independently to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a mission critical high-pressure environment.
