Key Responsibilities for the Job:
  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Set up the project master files
  • Entering estimates, subcontracts, and purchase orders
  • Responding to supplies and vendor inquiries on payment status
  • Set up new accounts in Jonas as necessary
  • Allocate monthly overhead costs to jobs based on payroll data
  • Other duties as required
Experience & Attributes for Success:
  • Post-secondary education from a college or university focusing in accounting
  • Previous construction industry experience is a definite asset
  • Proficiency with Sage50 software is ideal
  • Previous experience using the Jonas file management system is considered an asset
  • Basic understanding of accounting terms and conditions
  • Able to keep track of multiple projects and prioritize according to operational needs
  • Strong communication skills, able to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts
  • Detail oriented with an analytical mindset
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work well within a team
