As Learning and Development Specialist, you will play a key role in helping industry thrive in Eastern Canada. You will be responsible to implement comprehensive Hybrid Learning and Development (L&D) programs that align with the organization's business objectives. Your everyday ultimate goal will be to provide the conducive environment for all our team members to improve their employee performance, increase their productivity, grow in their career, and to promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement. By doing this, you will greatly contribute in creating optimal experiences for our employees, clients and partners, which is directly connected to our purpose and company values.

Reporting to the VP of Talent & Culture, and in collaboration with our L&D Business Partner, you will be responsible of working closely with managers to identify, document, and ensure the development of our employees within various business units. You will also be responsible for the design, delivery, and evaluation of Hybrid L&D Programs for all employees to acquire, maintain, and develop those competencies based on their career paths. This includes the development of L&D solutions for new hire orientation, soft skills learning programs, leadership development programs, and other job specific career development programs.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify learning and development needs.
  • Ensure that core and cross-functional Hybrid L&D Programs are designed in alignment with business competencies, career paths, goals and objectives.
  • Utilize a variety of training methodologies and technologies, including e-learning, classroom training, coaching and mentoring, and on-the-job training, to ensure the effective delivery of L&D programs, as much for employees working off-site and “on the road” than for employees working at Laurentide’s locations.
  • Utilize Learning Management System (LMS) and design platforms such as Articulate 360, Synthesia, Canva, etc. to produce and deploy impactful learning solutions.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of competency-based training and development programs. Continuously evaluate and refine approaches to ensure maximum impact.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends in all areas of L&D.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. Human Resources, Education, Organizational Psychology)
  • Experience in Learning and Development, including designing and delivering training programs
  • Experience with learning management systems and e-learning platforms
  • French and English, spoken and written
