We are recruiting for a number of Corporate Legal Assistant roles for some of Toronto's top law firms. The right candidate will be a self-motivated individual who enjoys being busy. Being able to work both independently and on a team is important in these roles, and a high attention to detail is required.Summary of Responsibilities:Prepare, draft, edit and finalize closing agendas and all transactional documents relating to lending and corporate transactionsOrganize and track delivery of closing documentsDraft renewal agreements for lending transactionsPrepare annual resolutionsCompile Record BooksCommunicate professionally with all internal and external clientsProofread and check documentsDiarize and track deadlinesProduce the highest quality of workHandle a high volume of daily administrative tasksManage duties related to accountingAccountable for all work assignedArrange meetingsCalendar managementTakes initiativeConfidentialCore Skills & Requirements: Minimum of 5 years’ previous experience as a Legal Assistant in Financial Services or Corporate Law in a law firm environmentSuccessful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk programKnowledge of Workshare Compare or a similar document comparison programOvertime, as requiredHandle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demandsMicrosoft 365 suite of applications, including experience with creating, numbering, styling and rebuilding documentsFamiliarity with iManage and DocuSignAbility to problem solveGood judgement and decision makingStrong interpersonal skillsOrganizedResourcefulDetailed Should this position not be of interest to you, please contact EStaffSearch to discuss other opportunities and how we can assist you with your job search.
