The Data Warehouse Architect has the responsibility to drive and coordinate the technical execution of enterprise data warehouse solutions and services that includes understanding business requirements, solution design, Data Extraction, Transformation and Integration architecture, development, testing, deployment and ongoing operational support. The DW Architect will assist in project execution and engage directly with project technical staff and Business stakeholders. This role is responsible to provide technical & functional leadership on data warehouse solutions.

Requirements & Analysis Responsibilities (30%)
Responsible to investigate, analyze and understand data contents of source data systems.
Understands, uses and adheres to dimensional modeling techniques for data warehouse design.
Define/Improve coding standards, comply with standards and guidelines related to the design, construction, testing and deployment activities as established by departmental and organizational standards.
Demonstrate collaborative skills working within a project team of diverse skills and will bring communication skills including oral, written and presentation skills, creativity, and problem-solving skills to a challenging environment.
Understands dependencies and timing issues between source systems and data warehouse operations.
Works directly with business process experts, Business Managers, BI Analysts, and IT Leadership to understand requirements for data warehouse development projects.
Data warehouse dimensional modeling/design and documentation.
Design Data Architecture for DW components.
Drive UAT activities with business partners to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
Lead DW/BI initiatives from ideation to completion.
Ensures standard data elements are maintained across all data structures in DW.
Define, Develop and lead implementation of long-term Strategy and road map for Data Warehousing, Data Science & ML.
ETL development and testing using tools like SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Talend or Future technologies based on Roadmap.
SQL Server / Snowflake Query, DDL/DML scripting.
SAP Business Object Data Services understanding and configuration.
Unix/Linux Shell Scripting.
Some Power BI understanding.
Bachelor’s Degree Required – Type: Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
~9+ years of full Software Development Life Cycle experience.
~7+ years practical experience with any ETL tool with complex transformation business rules implementation. 3+ years’ experience with SSIS or ADF, Talend.
~3+ years practical experience with writing SQL queries including complex queries.
~5+ years practical experience working on data warehouse projects using dimensional modeling.
~ Ability to analyze the existing SSIS Code for improvements, enhancements, conversion and problem solving.
~ Ability to execute data warehouse tasks in a timely manner without any guidance.
~ Project Management and SDLC understanding is required.
~ Experience with Data Warehouse Design/Development in Manufacturing company.
Experience in using SAP ERP as source system.
Experience in Cloud DW – snowflake and Azure Cloud Platform using Azure Data Factory, Talend, Fivetran/dbt or Matillion.
