We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Department Head to lead our team in an innovative and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the electrical field and possess excellent leadership skills to drive the department's success.
Duties & Job Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and manage electricians. Ensure team follows best practices and maintains service level agreements.
- Review and file all daily project reports.
- Monitor complete installations and repairs as needed.
- Oversee all facility department operations.
- Investigate and resolve any client complaints.
- Lead weekly team meetings.
- Ensure the team follows all electrical codes and standards.
- Work closely with other facility department leaders and company executives.
- Develop and improve departmental policies and procedures.
- Suggest ways to increase revenue and efficiency.
- Determine the work schedule and assignments. Coordinate SLA creations through interaction with the business team.
- Stock all equipment and tools.
- Oversee the daily operations of the department, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and support.
- Develop strategic plans and initiatives to meet departmental goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects forward.
- Utilize technical expertise to contribute to project development and problem-solving.
Electrical Service Qualifications and Skills:
- Manages a team of electricians and has advanced leadership skills.
- Demonstrates project management and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborates with colleagues and has strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Works with clients as needed and has strong client services skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team development.
- Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- At least 7-10 years of electrician experience is required.
- An active master electrician license in ON is required.
