Job Description Our client requires an Application Test Analyst to:
  • Prepare test plans and test schedules, facilitate meetings, train and manage testing resources;
  • Review, evaluate and provide test input during business requirements and design specifications gathering sessions;
  • Identify and communicate testing issues, implement process improvement and issue resolution;
  • Prepare, review and present test plans and test summary reports;
  • Prepare test data, write test cases, execute application testing, identify and manage issues, write test results summaries and maintain test artifacts.
Qualifications Requirements
  • University degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Experience assisting in the planning, preparation and execution of application testing
  • Experience assisting in preparing for meetings, preparing test schedules and test activities
  • Experience assisting in reviewing, evaluating and providing test input during business requirements and detailed design specifications
  • Experience assisting in identifying testing issues, and implementing improved processes and resolutions
  • Experience in a leadership role in requirements 1, 2, 3 and 4 above (i.e.: Team Lead type role).
  • Experience mentoring testing resources and facilitating training sessions
  • Experience writing test cases, preparing test data, executing tests and verifying results and logging issues
  • Experience with test tools including automation, requirements management test management and defect management tools
  • Experience preparing and reviewing test plans and test summary reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Experience with various database and messaging tools for verifying test results such as SQL, Toad, XMLSpy
Desirables
  • Demonstrated experience with smoke testing, unit testing, system testing, integration testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Demonstrated experience testing in both web and mobile environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
  • Experience using automated test tools, with preference given to Coded UI through Visual Studio Enterprise.
  • Experience working with Business & technical representatives to analyze issues reported by (or in) production.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, problem solve/troubleshoot, work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience with user acceptance testing including creation of user acceptance plan, status reporting, and managing assigned tasks
