The Opportunity

If you are a dedicated HR professional with generalist skills, this is the perfect opportunity for you HUB International is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our well-respected HR team. We want someone who thrives being in a client-centric role and has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be exposed to a variety of HR initiatives and projects and champion efficient and effective processes. We work as a team to get things done

The Responsibilities

  1. Annual Cycles
    • Support the delivery of various annual HR cycles such as merit review, performance reviews, goal setting, bonus administration, etc.
    • Maintain HR calendar of annual events and ensure timelines are met
  2. Employee Life Cycle:
    • Coordinate and process employee events such as: Transfer, Promotion, Change in hours/work schedule, conclusion packages, Compensation changes, Disability/LOA’s
    • Oversee employee offboarding including conducting employee exit interviews
    • Administer the Leave Management process including facilitating the STD process and tracking
  3. Partner with Canada Life, managers, employee, and HRBP on the coordination of GRTW’s HR Administration and Support
  4. Advise and educate employees regarding company programs, benefits, and policies
  5. Ensure that all Human Resource forms, policies, manuals etc. are up-to-date

Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

The Requirements

  1. 2+ years of HR experience
  2. Knowledge of HR best practices and regulations, including BC Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Legislation
  3. Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  4. Insurance industry experience/knowledge is an asset
