Job Description

Mandatory requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration or a related discipline and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in information technology/ information management related work experience.
  • 6 Years of Demonstrated hands-on Business Systems Analyst experience, including requirement gathering and documentation, developing and managing requirement traceability matrix, technical solution, and design analysis, developing product backlog, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • 6 Years of Demonstrated experience engaging business and technical subject matter experts to identify and describe core business capabilities, articulate business system priorities and desired outcomes in both predictive and adaptive project management approach.
  • 6 Years of Demonstrated experience in producing visual diagrams that clearly depict the relationship between business functions and develop the business process documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate on complex projects.

Scored Requirements

  • 6 years of Demonstrated hands-on experience in requirement gathering, current state and future state analysis for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and customized application development in the large enterprise level project delivery.
  • 6 years of Demonstrated experience in developing requirement traceability matrix, product backlog, user stories, wireframe/prototype, user acceptance criteria and oversee the user acceptance testing in the large enterprise level project delivery.
  • 6 years of Demonstrated experience in performing business process analysis for complex business transformation initiatives in the multi-entity organization to develop business process for the future state in the large enterprise level project delivery.
  • 4 years of Demonstrated experience documenting business and system requirements, diagramming the required process flows in the commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) application's integration deployment in SaaS and On-prem model.
  • Current certification from a recognized professional business analysis association, such as PMI-PBA, IIBA-CBAP would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience working on projects for clients in the public sector in Canada.
  • Demonstrated experience with at least one (1) cloud SaaS implementation with significant business transformation would be an asset.

Deliverables

The successful candidate must deliver the following, but not limited to in order to successfully complete the engagement:

  • Elicits, translates, validates, communicates, negotiates, develops, and manages requirements by applying proven effective techniques such as interviews, walk-throughs, surveys, use cases, specifications, brainstorming, modelling, etc.
  • Facilitates and moderates the discovery sessions/workshops in the participation of both business and technical stakeholders to gather the business and functional requirements, finalize the requirements and manage the required approval for the design and development of the application.
  • Gathers and documents the business and functional requirements by leveraging critical thinking skill set and performing required coordination among the internal and external project stakeholders (i.e., Client Business SMEs, SaaS Providers Technical SMEs, SMEs of different departments in GNB) and manages the requirements traceability matrix document throughout the project life cycle.
  • Identifies, defines, communicates, and negotiates for solutions, technical and business processes, procedural, etc. that will maximize the value delivered by the SaaS provider to the SNB Client team.
  • Facilitates and moderate sessions for the business process development in the presence of the SNB Client and SaaS provider to review the current processes, develops and documents the future processes and manages required approval to finalize the process for the future.
  • Develops the benefit analysis document and manages that document throughout the project life cycle.
  • Develops the requirement traceability matrix, product backlog, user stories, and wireframe/prototype, use acceptance criteria for quality assurance (QA) and manages all project documents efficiently throughout the project life cycle.
  • Develops the use and test cases in coordination with the business and technical teams for the user acceptance testing (UAT) and oversees the user acceptance testing.
  • Provides support to develop the project scope baseline to fulfill the business requirement and manages it throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Effectively translates technical issues so all project stakeholders can understand and make effective decisions.
  • Provides required support to the project manager to complete the work packages.
  • Performs comprehensive risk analysis to produce risk register and stakeholder analysis, including interdependencies.
  • Identifies project issues and documents and communicates with suggestions for resolution.
  • Supports the Change and Communication Management group to produce the project communications, manuals, and training materials.
  • Produces and manages the project documentation in accordance with the agreed project template.
  • Follows the SNB Project Management Framework, agreed project governance approach and delivery strategy to ensure the delivery of the assigned project deliverables within time and scope.
