About the Company:

Our client is a national, well-known and respected Application Engineering Management Company. They specialize in providing innovative and cost-effective lighting and lighting controls services to improve energy performance for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities in both private and public sectors.

Position: Electrical Estimator

The Electrical Estimator will report to the Project Manager and be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of specifications and drawings. This role involves coordinating price packages with suppliers, subcontractors, owners, and designers.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough reviews of specifications and drawings
  2. Develop material labor take-offs
  3. Coordinate price packages with suppliers, subcontractors, owners, designers, and architects
  4. Review estimates with Project Managers
  5. Prepare proposals by organizing all material, equipment, labor, and subcontract costs needed for project completion
  6. Coordinate with Purchasing and other departments for building quotes
  7. Track bids and proposals, communicate regularly with Project Managers and colleagues as needed
  8. Assist with business development or new customer generation
  9. Attend kick-off meetings
  10. Maintain and analyze reports
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar industry
  • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or Environmental field from a recognized University or College
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and successfully complete deliverables
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent time management and coordination skills
  • Ability to work well with team members, clients, and manage expectations
  • Ability to follow health and safety protocols and assess safety issues on-site
