We are currently searching for a Senior Market Access Manager, Ophthalmology reporting to the Market Access and Government Relations Lead. This role is a head office-based position located in Markham, Ontario. The Senior Market Access Manager, Ophthalmology is responsible for leading the development and implementation of reimbursement strategies and submissions in collaboration with Department Head for Astellas Pharma Canada, Inc. (APCA) products with respect to all federal, provincial and private formularies. Responsible for representing market access with multi-functional brand teams and with global internal stakeholders to develop value proposition for Astellas products.

Lead the development and execution of integrated reimbursement strategies, core pricing, and access deliverables incorporating business analytics and in-depth market research, for both private and public payers, in collaboration with Director and market access team. Provide strategic counsel and support for pCPA and private payor negotiation strategies.
Be a strategic partner with the commercial multi-functional brand teams, to ensure market access strategies and tactics are aligned and integrated with sales, marketing and medical strategies, including integrated advocacy plans. Provide Brand Teams, Life Cycle Management Teams and Business Development colleagues with counsel and strategic advice on market access, and reimbursement environment opportunities specific to the brand and competitive environment.
Monitor reimbursement landscape, HTA agencies, private payers, competitive products, reports and policies to assess potential risk/opportunities for APCA products. Utilize project management tools to document and track market access tactical plans and provides regular updates to the appropriate Teams.Experience working in Ophthalmology therapeutic area
Public, private payers, CADTH, INESSS, pCPA and PMPRB
Demonstrated experience in pricing, and negotiations with public and private insurers
Strong practical, quantitative and analytical skills combined with a solid understanding of how to successfully apply pricing & reimbursement / HEOR principles to support APCA
Proven project and time management skills
Ability to effectively work in teams (local and global), collaborate, lead by influence at all levels of the organization and across geographies
