The Seabee Gold Operation is located about 500km northeast of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in the boreal forest. SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation (SGO) is hiring for an Operator, Solution.

About Your New Role:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mill Operations, the Operator, Solution, will be responsible for controlling the flow of slurry from the thickener to the tailings lakes and return as reclaim. Your focus is to recover the most gold from the slurry flow to collect for refining.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  1. Relays direction from management to mill operations personnel to achieve daily production objectives.
  2. Ensure that all mill circuits are operating within prescribed parameters.
  3. Perform routine inspections of the mill circuit.
  4. Perform routine analytical tests to determine solutions pH and cyanide concentration levels.
  5. Keep a daily log of shift events.
  6. Prepare daily shift reports on standard forms and record equipment failure.
  7. Maintain Leach and C.I.P. circuits.
  8. Perform routine checks of Reclaim and Tails lines while operating on night shift.
  9. Assist maintenance crew as required with circuit repairs.
  10. Cover absences of other Solutions Operators.
  11. Mix and add potentially hazardous chemicals to the circuit.
Your Knowledge and Skills:
  1. Good communication skills to understand verbal instructions and to relay maintenance concerns.
  2. A positive and proactive attitude towards safety is essential.
  3. Cognitive fortitude to understand and manipulate Solutions circuit.
  4. Physical ability to lift 80 lbs.
  5. Ability to use electric and air power tools.
  6. Visual acuity, both near and far, depth perception.
  7. Mental awareness to be able to work around moving parts and potential hazards.
  8. Ability to do repetitive operations carried out according to procedures of sequence.
  9. Color vision for observing results while conducting titrations.
  10. Ability to prepare reports and maintain records.
  11. Ability to operate motorized vehicles.
  12. Capacity to work in conditions of extreme noise.
Your Education and Experience:

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Completed Grade 12 or equivalent.
  2. 3 years’ experience in a previous similar role.
About Our Working Conditions:

This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge.
