YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY SERVICES:

Provide leadership and oversight for the community services team to achieve meeting or exceeding departmental and organizational goals
Develop expertise in all community service programs and support them as necessary
Establish risk management policies and procedures for volunteer management and service delivery, including liability concerns
Build and maintain partnerships with the National Office, other Councils, Government agencies, NGOs, and community and emergency organizations
Manage the human resources of the department to include staff and volunteers, performance measurement and evaluation, employee relations and compliance with internal policies

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY SERVICES:

Post Secondary Degree in Community Development, Recreation Management, NGO Management or related studies
Prior experience working in a Not-for-Profit position that is community based
Ability to obtain and hold certification as Medical First Responder
