Job Title: Internal Medicine Site Director

Description:

The Manitoba Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical professional to fill the position of Internal Medicine Site Director at Grace Hospital. As a key member of the hospital's leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of internal medicine services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Regional Medical Specialty Lead in planning and coordinating the internal medicine program system-wide.
  2. Lead the internal medicine team at Grace Hospital, ensuring high-quality patient care and excellent clinical outcomes.
  3. Collaborate with other hospital departments and medical staff to develop and implement policies and procedures related to internal medicine services.
  4. Liaise with the academic Department Head of Internal Medicine to enhance teaching and research activities.
  5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.

Requirements:

  • Be licensed to practice medicine in the Province of Manitoba.
  • Hold an FRCP(C) in Internal Medicine or equivalent.
  • Have a full-time appointment to the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Manitoba at the Rank of Assistant Professor, or higher.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • 5 years or more of experience in a medical leadership role.
  • Knowledge and experience in management functions, including strategic planning, human resource, and financial management.
