The Position:

Reporting to the ERP Systems Manager, the Applications Developer will perform technical and analytical functions in the development, implementation, and support of IT business applications within the organization. Working as part of a team, the incumbent will develop services and analyze, design and develop business solutions based on business requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  1. Create software design specifications and documentation.
  2. Analyze, design and develop software solutions.
  3. Write clean, scalable and functional code using .NET languages (C#, VB .NET, VB6) and have a keen eye for identifying and resolving defects.
  4. Provide technical expertise on initiatives and projects involving various applications.
  5. Test and deploy applications and systems.
  6. Maintain knowledge of upcoming technologies and third-party application updates that impact deliverables and projects.
  7. Collaborate with clients, team leads, participate in review of the application and documentation during various phases of the project.
  8. Work in an agile team and be able to adapt to changes quickly.
  9. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
  11. Must be self-motivated and lead by example with a positive attitude and outlook.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Must have experience in VB6, WPF, WCF, MySQL, Image Recognition, OPC, XML, SOAP, ERP/MRP/CRM development.
  2. University/College Degree in Computer Science or a related program.
  3. Proven development experience in .Net Framework environment using C#, database development, n-tier applications, web services and server/client model.
  4. Familiarity with the VB .NET framework, SQL Workbench and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-View Model (MVVM)).
  5. Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  6. Understanding of Agile methodologies.
  7. Excellent analytical, critical thinking and decision making skills.
  8. Able to balance and prioritize multiple tasks.
  9. Able to work effectively under deadlines.
  10. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  11. Ability to display a degree of creativity in completing tasks.
