AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Sr Manager Design Interface based in Calgary, Alberta

The Sr Manager Design Interface will support the Calgary Green Line LRT Project. The Green Line LRT (light rail transit) Project is the largest infrastructure investment in Calgary’s history. At 10-kms, it comes with $6.2 billion in commitments from the Government of Canada, Government of Alberta and The City of Calgary. The Green Line LRT is designed to be both a transit system and a platform for future city building opportunities. It encourages redevelopment and investment in Calgary businesses and communities. The Sr Manager Design Interface requires a deep understanding of various interface protocols, data exchange standards, and integration methodologies.

Your role within the team:

  • Lead to resolve all design matters between Design Build and Bid Build contractors at boundaries compliance with Technical Performance Requirements of project.
  • Participate in risk identification and management.
  • Provide advice to Director for change directives that are required to fix discrepancies of the original design at boundaries.
  • Supervise 4 D BIM Modeler to provide 4D BIM model at interface to ensure the constructability of the work.
  • Chair the Design Interface Work Group meeting, prepare agenda, resolution of review comments, change management, claims, and disputes resolution.
  • Develop and maintain design interface register and Interface Control document together with Interface contractors.
  • Support PLAA team to resolve external interfaces issues such as City departments, third party’s utilities and developer.

The ideal candidate:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, MSc will be an asset.
  • Professional Engineer registered with APEGA or eligible to be registered.
  • PMP will be an asset.
  • 15 years’ experience in design of Major Infrastructures such as LRT, Highway, Bridges.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience in design.
  • Software skill Revit, Navisworks, InRoad or Civil 3D.
