The General Manager will play a significant role in driving growth in scale and value by providing full P&L direction and oversight to the Company. Rapidly introduce daily management disciplines in sales, marketing, customer service, quality assurance, repair, and engineering functions;
Cooperate with the Roctest subsidiaries Telemac (France), Smartec (Switzerland) and EnOmFra (France) to achieve corporate goals by ensuring clear and timely communication, on-time delivery, and high product quality;
Manage effectively to budget, forecast and have tight control of operating expenses and KPI’s, with an emphasis on inventory, gross margin, and EBITDA;
Conduct talent assessments and enhance the management team’s capabilities and competence through mentoring, teaching improved processes, and necessary top-grading to ensure the organization has the talent and capability to routinely perform at a high level;
Drive annual planning to develop annual operating plans and updated strategic plans;
Lead and coach the Company on the execution of the operating plans, including the cascade of daily management to the work cell level to achieve targets;
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success;
Critical experience must include and demonstrate success in driving performance in an instrumentation/sensor business; and using a consensus building and a collaborative leadership style. Minimum of 10 years of experience with a proven record of success in senior level general or commercial management, preferably in the geotechnical instrumentation;
Experience in managing hardware, software, and mechanical product development projects with an emphasis on improved processes and successful outcomes;
Demonstrated success managing to forecast and to budgets a must. Exceptional verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English and French as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills; Demonstrated competency coordinating manufacturing operations with and/or operationally integrating acquisitions;
BS in Engineering, Science or Management. Advanced degree preferred and an MBA is a plus.
