About the role:

Join our client, Symcor - one of Canada's largest business and payment processing services providers, as the next Sales Leader. In this strategic role, you will guide, motivate, and support a dynamic team of sales professionals, including Product Sales Specialists, Inside Sales, and Contract Renewals. With a focus on driving new sales and growth opportunities, you will develop and implement sales strategies aligning with Symcor’s increasing revenues and growth objectives.

As a Sales Leader, you will strengthen and build strategic client relationships, develop knowledge of innovative products and services, and maintain awareness of market needs to inform the sales strategy.

Summary:

In alignment with Symcor’s objectives of increasing revenues and growth, the Sales Leader has a strategic role overseeing a team of sales professionals comprised of Product Sales Specialists, Inside Sales and Contract Renewals. The Sales Leader develops and implements sales strategies, plans, and cycle activities to ensure a consistent and productive sales focus.

Accountabilities:

  • Guide, motivate and support a sales team to drive new sales and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor, coach, and develop employees to attain the team’s objectives.
  • Strengthen and build strategic client relationships to proactively identify potential sales opportunities, positioning the company as a strategic partner.
  • Support the development of new sales revenues.
  • Develop knowledge of the company’s products and services to support the formulation of a winning sales strategy and close deals.
  • Maintain an awareness of market needs, trends, and competition to inform the company’s sales strategy and account plans.

Education and Experience:

  • College diploma or undergraduate university degree in a related discipline
  • A minimum of 10 years of B2B sales experience, proven history of winning sales propositions, and maintaining large client account plans
  • Five years of experience leading an effective sales team
  • Demonstrated performance, accountability, and sales success

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ambitious and self-motivated, with excellent communication and negotiation skills, an engaging personality, along with a passion for sales and people leadership
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Change Management skills
  • Process Oriented
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Familiarity with sales workflows, lead generation and deal stages
  • Adaptable to changing business needs and market dynamics
  • Problem-solving
  • Strong knowledge of competitors' products is an asset
