Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • Adheres to procedures and instructions.
  • Responsible for maintaining safe working conditions, practices, and ensures that good safety processes are included in all activities. Ensure the Standards of Section 28 of the OHSA are met.

Responsible For Inventory Control Within QAD Which Consists Of

  • Performing cycle counts at all levels in BOM and entering initial counts, root cause issues, and correcting inventory accuracy of reporting points.
  • Investigating and understanding negative inventories and adjusting accordingly.
  • Verifying accuracy for BOM, item master setup, and sub-contractor setup accuracy.
  • Managing WIP inventories at all locations including subcontractors.
  • Processing subcontractor inventories.
  • Maintaining supplier/subcontractor cum maintenance.
  • Issuing and tracking subcontractor/supplier schedule attainment and delivery daily to ensure inventory accuracy on all levels.
  • Managing sub-contractor through schedules and ensuring inventories are maintained by weekly reconciliation processes.
  • Ensuring proper inventories of containers (expendable and returnable) are in place to support our EOQ of the production schedule to accommodate both internal and external requirements.
  • Analyzing expendable container inventory levels and usage to accommodate alternate shipment activities.
  • Ensuring all WIP in house and at subcontractor locations meet inventory targets.
  • Interacting with AGS Sales to ensure all PO/contracts with our suppliers and subcontractors are valid.
  • Interacting with all AGS intercompany plants to ensure all rack flow is accurate and complements our production schedule for internal attainment.
  • Interacting with all subcontractors to ensure all part flow is accurate and complements our production schedule for internal attainment.
  • Ensuring sufficient racks in house to support production schedule and customer shipments.

Responsible for ensuring subcontractor requirements are met through effective management of inventory, systems, and resources. Ensure subcontractor and supplier schedules are sent weekly and all communication on shipments made are generated in a timely manner.

Responsible for effectively communicating any problems with meeting subcontractor schedules (including issues related to raw suppliers) to the appropriate contact person at subcontractor locations and also with internal levels of management.

Act as backup for shipping and Master Scheduling.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing and related processes, including customer shipping requirements, production scheduling, and raw materials.
  • Grade 12 and five years or more of experience in a computerized materials management/production environment.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of the relevant software.
