Purpose of the Role:

As a Control Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and modification of control systems on Svante Rotary Adsorbent Machines (RAMs), control system programming on small prototypes, and controls commissioning modification and troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment. You should have some experience with implementing these systems on equipment of similar scale and complexity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. You have a Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent experience.
  2. You have at least 3 years of experience with electrical instrumentation and control development, emphasizing work with PLC programming and logic development.
  3. You are familiar with designing, working with and programming Rockwell industrial control systems.
  4. You are familiar with designing and programming Siemens and Beckhoff Industrial control systems.
What Success looks like in this role:
  1. You will assist in the development of new controls systems including Controls hardware specification, PLC programming, VFD Configuration etc.
  2. You will contribute to modification of existing control systems including Code modification, I/O modification, addition, and specification, and troubleshooting and bug identification.
  3. You will develop documentation including I/O lists, Interconnect diagrams, Controls narratives, Functional tests, Factory acceptance tests, Site acceptance tests.
  4. You will write and conduct functional tests of PLC code under the supervision of senior members of the ice team.
  5. You will travel to sites for installation and commissioning, and programming.
