The Role: As a trusted HR Advisor to clients across Southern Ontario, you will engage in all aspects of human resources and recruitment, providing comprehensive support to business owners and their leadership teams. Your responsibilities will span across employee relations, talent acquisition, health & safety, performance management, policy development, compliance, and training. This role offers both remote and on-site client interactions. You will be mentored, supported, and guided by a Senior Human Resources Advisor, ensuring you have the expertise and confidence needed to excel in this dynamic environment.

Job Type: Part-time: Approximately 25 hours per week, with potential to increase in response to client needs. Hybrid work arrangement.

Compensation: $22 to $27/hr, commensurate with experience. Annual bonus program.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
  1. Consulting and Advisory: Serve as the initial point of trusted HR advice, providing strategic solutions tailored to small and medium-sized businesses.
  2. HR Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with client business goals.
  3. Employee Relations: Manage employee relations, resolve conflicts, and foster positive work environments.
  4. Recruitment and Talent Management: Oversee recruitment processes, performance management, and employee development.
  5. Policy and Compliance: Create and enforce HR policies, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
  6. Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  7. Health and Safety: Develop and monitor health and safety programs to maintain a safe workplace.
  8. Mentorship and Hybrid Work: Receive mentorship from a senior HR advisor and manage responsibilities in a hybrid work environment.
Experience & Skills Required for Success:
  1. Educational Background: University degree or college diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
  2. Professional Certification: Membership in the Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario; CHRP or CHRL designation preferred.
  3. Relevant Experience: 1-3 years of HR experience in a coordinator or generalist role.
  4. HR Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment legislation.
  5. Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution: Proven experience in managing employee relations, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  6. Problem-Solving and Policy Development: Demonstrated ability to identify issues, analyze problems, develop solutions, and create/enforce HR policies.
  7. Training and Recruitment Expertise: Experience in recruitment processes, training program design, and delivery.
  8. Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong relationship-building, organizational skills, and flexibility for hybrid work.
