KidStrong Sherwood Park is rapidly growing and we're looking for talented, enthusiastic professionals who are passionate, energetic, and excited to engage with parents and kids and make an impact on their lives.

OPEN ROLE & SCHEDULE
  • We are looking for coaches with an athletic or coaching background who ideally have experience coaching kids ages 15 months - to 11 years old
  • KidStrong Head Coach would focus on coaching children on the brain, physical, and character development that stems from evolving monthly curriculum
  • The ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding “the why” behind the KidStrong curriculum
  • Assist the General Manager in interviewing, hiring and onboarding coaches.
  • Assist the General Manager in coach development
  • Assist the General Manager in overall centre operation management
  • The Head Coach is accountable for all KidStrong Camps, birthday and private parties, parents night out and field trips.
  • The Head Coach will coach 20-25 classes per week and perform an additional 10-15 hours of leadership.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Passion for working with children is non-negotiable
  • Previous experience in management is preferred but not required
  • Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age group is preferred
  • Prior experience speaking to and educating parents is preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
  • Coaching, teaching or fitness certification is required
  • CPR certified
  • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-starter who just gets a job done
