JOB: FLAGGER (CONSTRUCTION)

PAY: $20-22/HR + (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)

TYPE: SEASONAL

LOCATION: BRANTFORD

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • TRAFFIC CONTROL PERSON (FLAGGER) TRAINING
  • ABLE TO READ, WRITE AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS IN ENGLISH

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • CONTROL TRAFFIC WITH SIGNS TO KEEP CONSTRUCTION CREWS SAFE
  • ALERT CONSTRUCTION CREW ABOUT SAFETY STANDARDS
  • COMMUNICATE WITH OTHER FLAGGERS TO DIRECT TRAFFIC
  • REMOVE DEBRIS, RUBBLE AND OTHER HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
  • SET UP AND REMOVE BARRICADES, TRAFFIC CONES AND WARNING SIGNS
  • USE HAND SIGNALS TO DIRECT TRAFFIC
  • ENSURE SAFE PASSAGE FOR PEDESTRIANS AND VEHICLES
  • FOLLOW COMPANY SAFETY POLICIES/MAINTAIN A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WELL WITH OTHERS
