About the Job
Our Canada office is seeking an experienced Process/PC&IS Engineer and Project Manager in Industrial manufacturing facilities and technologies to lead the workflow of process development projects from start to finish, beginning with front-end engineering studies and technology development all the way through design, construction, and start-up.
Evaluate, design, develop and plan processes for different industries across the global footprint of Blue Projects. The ideal candidate must be an outgoing self-starter with relevant professional experience. This position provides an opportunity to be a key member of our North American team with a range of responsibilities and growth potential for personal and leadership development.
Requirements:
Education, Background, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field, like mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering
- 10+ years of experience in the field in a manufacturing or engineering position, preferably in project management, process engineering and/or power & control systems areas
- Experience defining and developing scope basis, design basis, flow diagrams, P&IDs, layouts, utility requirements, etc.
- Familiar with technologies, processes, and equipment typical to the food, beverage, consumer goods, fine chemical processing, refinery, ethanol, and similar process industries and plants
- Experience effectively navigating the unique challenges associated with building new facilities from the ground up or refurbishing/adding major capital investment scope to existing brownfield sites/facilities, including demolition when required.
- Knowledgeable and experienced with electrical power supply and distribution fundamentals and technical specifications/requirements, including single-line diagrams, power transformation, hardware, and fundamental electrical design
- Knowledgeable and experienced with process controls and automation technologies, architecture, systems/platforms, tools, etc. This includes DSC and PLC hardware/software platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Rockwell/AB, Siemens, Delta V, etc)
- Able to perform basic engineering and sizing calculations for electrical and control systems
- Experience leading the technical aspects of the entire lifecycle of greenfield and brownfield industrial projects
