Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Achieve Sales and Profit targets for Branch Locations.
  2. Work with the Branch Manager and collaborate with Sales team to assist in the development of a plan to determine targeted customer account potential, establish sales goals for those accounts.
  3. Collectively achieve sales, gross profits through the recruitment, development, training, coaching, evaluation, and supervision of the Branch.
  4. Improve productivity and manage assets and expenses – Building, Trucks, Equipment, Inventory.
  5. Collaborate with Branch Manager and the Sales team to build relationships in the community to understand the marketplace, increase market share and identify new markets.
  6. Ensure the Branch meets or exceeds the service expectations of customers.
  7. Collaborate with the Branch Manager to create a growth culture for the branch with continued focus to increase share of wallet and lines per order.
  8. Understand and follow all safety regulations at all customer locations as well as at the Profit Centre.
  9. Safeguard and maintain all Branch assets – buildings, trucks, equipment, inventory, and receivables.
  10. Ensure efficient and safe functioning of all warehouse processes, including open order reports, transfers (invoice adjustments/ reorders), credit – re bill, customer credits/ returns, pricing issues, month end closing.
  11. Collaborate with DCs to ensure vendor returns are managed.
  12. Perform other tasks, special projects/ assignments as required by Management.
  13. Ensure that customer satisfaction meets or exceeds company expectations.

Requirements:

  1. Proven Leadership skills including experience hiring, coaching, disciplining, scheduling mentoring, and training for employees.
  2. Proficiency with computers including the ability to learn new applications and assist staff with questions or issues.
  3. Ability to deal with situations quickly and calmly under emergency conditions.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high pressure for results, organizing and managing multiple tasks.
  5. Ability to exercise sound judgment when dealing with customers and employees.
  6. Ability to lead and motivate a staff to meet and exceed personal and company goals and objectives.
  7. Ability to achieve strategic goals and objective with little supervision.
  8. Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining good working relationships with customers and employees.
  9. Ability to create and work in a team environment to achieve both company and personal success.
