Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure

Manages a department of resources focused on the design, delivery, support and optimization of Celestica's IT infrastructure, including network, computing, storage, telecommunication, and mobile devices. The Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure leverages their network of business and IT partners to plan and deliver strategic projects, enhancement work and baseline requests according to established service levels, budgets, and compliance standards. The Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure helps to determine and drive the IT operations framework and solution lifecycle, and has extensive hands-on experience with infrastructure technologies. The Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure also creates and champions Celestica's service management culture rooted in continuous improvement, and is responsible for building organizational strength by leading change & leveraging Celestica's HR processes.

Detailed Description
  • Promote business continuity as the primary focus of all plans, operations, and decisions.
  • Strengthen the organization through strong leadership, people management, purposeful communication, and cultural enablement.
  • Cultivate strong relationships and engage with senior business, functional, solution & service partners to enable effective cross-team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and problem solving.
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing team to design, build, and run IT solutions in accordance with established service levels.
  • Engage and partner with business partners to create, communicate and deliver IT roadmaps that enable strategic business objectives.
  • Drive IT operations to leverage standard IT processes to deliver solutions and services.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (C++, Java, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of database design and data analysis.
  • Extensive knowledge of network and server systems design.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture.
  • Excellent ability to perform software and hardware evaluation and selection.
  • Strong business writing skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong team leadership ability.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of planning process and the maximization of IT resources.
  • Ability to introduce change of infrastructure/application environment.
Physical Demands
  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
Typical Experience
  • 11 to 14 years of IT experience that shows consistent progression, and at least 5 years hands-on technology and team leadership experience.
Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
