Job Description

Position: Building Mechanical or Electrical Engineer

Overall Objectives
  1. Provide facility engineering services for Company Canada Engineering.
  2. Develop specifications and bid packages for facility projects.
  3. Manage construction and equipment installation projects.
  4. Develop equipment standards and operating procedures for facility equipment operation.
  5. Manage third-party maintenance services for facility equipment and buildings.
Responsibilities

This position is % on site and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Project management for facility projects to meet timing, specifications, and cost objectives.
  • Provide technical support and oversight to project staff.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines for project installation and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Work on building power distribution, controls, HVAC, cooling, and compressed air systems.
  • Investigate and resolve deficiencies in facility building and equipment.
  • Develop scope of work for construction and equipment installation projects.
  • Write purchase requisitions for material and services.
  • Promote efficiency improvements in building systems.
  • Protect owner's interests on construction and renovation projects.
Requirements

Key qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • years construction management experience.
  • Detail knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Strong project management, organizational, teamwork, and communication skills.

Location: Onsite - % (Automotive Research and Development Centre)

Required: Must be able to drive a Stellantis vehicle during the assignment.

Travel: Frequent travel within the City of Windsor, infrequent travel to the US and other parts of Ontario.
