Fraser Health is seeking a dedicated Client Partner, Respectful Workplace to support managers and leaders in the swift investigation and resolution of respectful workplace complaints. This role involves collaboration with key stakeholders such as Disability Management, Human Resources Consulting (labour relations), the Resolution Team (mediators), Physiological Health and Safety, Organization Development, Workplace Health, WorkSafe BC, and Healthcare Unions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and Guidance: Provide advice and resources to leaders and other clients on respectful workplace investigations and dispute resolution processes. This includes drafting correspondence, strategizing employer positions, preparing for and conducting meetings with employees, union representatives, and legal counsel, and preparing for cases proceeding to third-party hearings.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Work with internal and external stakeholders, including union representatives, to develop a consultative approach to problem-solving, enhance communication, proactively anticipate and resolve issues, and support the implementation of necessary changes.
- Promote Respectful Workplace: Increase accountability and understanding of the leader’s role in supporting and promoting a Respectful Workplace. Encourage proactive use of the Respectful Workplace Policy and enhance conflict resolution and problem-solving skills among FH leaders, physicians, staff, and volunteers.
- Conflict Resolution: Negotiate and facilitate the resolution of complex respectful workplace matters with clients and Unions, including Human Rights issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: At least five (5) years of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Desirable Certifications: Completion of Mediation Skills 1, Conflict Coaching Level 1 courses, and an Associate Certificate in Workplace Conflict.
- Other Requirements: Valid BC Driver’s Licence and possession of a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
